Mount Rubidoux Trail
Mount Rubidoux first became a park in 1906 when Frank Miller (the force behind the famous Mission Inn) and Henry E. Huntington (the force behind the Huntington Library and Huntington Beach) purchased the land.
This popular 3.2-mile loop trail route is more of a paved road than a dirt trail, making it a beautiful place for a leisurely walk or ride. Though it is not a long distance, the impressive views of Riverside make this paved trail a popular spot. The path does have some steep grades, but it is paved asphalt and eight feet wide for the entire path, making it more easily accessible.
At the top, hikers are treated to panoramic views of the local mountain ranges and historical attractions like the Serra Cross, the giant flag, the Peace Tower and the Friendship Bridge -- explorers can even go up the stairs and check out the tower and bridge up close.
